Session Abstract:
The usage of BOTs in production is growing exponentially. There is need to carefully identify, manage and address risks arising from these new technology usage. The session aims to provide overview of framework to manage inherent risks and emerging IT risks of a growing RPA Jungle. Based on the experience, We will take close look at scoping, implementing and review of RPA Program at client level and built a Comprehensive Assurance Framework. The framework enhances RPA programme for organisations during BOT lifecycle in identifying risks from multiple dimensions and designing controls to mitigate the risk

Speakers profile:

(i)Anil has over 15 years of experience in risk management, regulatory compliance, technology audits, business transformation and related areas. He has been with KPMG since 2005 and worked extensively with KPMG member firms in the UK, Australia and South Africa.

He heads Technology Internal Audit for KPMG in India and in this capacity drives the tech led audit innovations for the practice. He represents KPMG India in the EMA IT Internal Audit network. Anil has significant international experience working with marquee global clients of KPMG across BFSI and ITITES . Anil is passionate about emerging technologies. He recently moderated a panel on Artificial Intelligence opportunities and threats for internal audit at Annual conference hosted by the Institute of Internal Auditors. He has directed and managed numerous consulting engagements in the areas ofl Tech led internal audit, IT risk management, IT Strategy , Operations, Information Security , data privacy and cyber security .Anil has worked extensively with global clients in areas of information security, risk compliance management, wherein he assisted them in selection, risk management and compliance management of their strategic outsourcing partners in IT/BPM areas. In addition to that he has assisted large IT outsourcing service providers in India to improve their business system controls and information security posture Anil worked closely with IT Advisory Risk Consulting Lead at KPMG for Investment Banking, to create an Investment Bank Technology Risk Forum. The forum consists of Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs) of top investment banks in the country .

(ii)Shabbir Tahasildar is presently working as a Associate Director with the IT Advisory practice of KPMG in India. He has overall experience of 10 years and out of which 6 years has been with KPMG India. He has previously worked with Infosys Ltd and HCL Technologies Ltd. His primarily responsibilities include client relationship management, engagement delivery, people management and supporting partners in various practice management initiatives such as Sales Enablement, Sector Focus and Solution Capability development. He has significant experience in working with Global Capability Centers (GCCs) / Captives based in India across multiple sectors/industries. He has successful track record of large & complex global program delivery and managing virtual teams spread across multiple countries with team size between 15 to 20 team members. All round experience in Know How of Governance, Management, IT Service Management, Risk & Control Assurance of Enterprise IT. Proven experience of setting up Policies, Standards, Frameworks, Generally accepted Industry Practices covering Oversight of most of Enterprise IT domains.

One of his recent works and key interests includes creation of Risk & Control Framework for Emerging Tech Risk - BOT Assurance Program and building next generation technology audit capabilities leveraging automation.

Significant experience in conceptualizing new solutions, building technical capabilities and building teams ground up, motivating & mentoring them and managing their performance development process.
