Abstract: This talk surveys best practices and next steps in enterprise key and certificate management. It covers
- practical guidelines for using TLS,
- practical guidelines for managing certificates,
- practical guidelines for setting up crypto governance at an enterprise,
   managing a diverse landscape of crypto libraries and keys in an agile world.

The idea is to start with an overview of best practices and guidelines and then go into discussions with audit, control, security and cyber security professionals on challenges they face in their daily work.

Bio:
Christiane Peters works as Enterprise Security Architect for IBM in Belgium. Christiane guides IBM clients from defining enterprise security architectures to the implementation of fully managed security services. Data protection and Cryptography are capabilities that Christiane often revisits in here work for clients. One of her focus points is defining and implementing cryptographic services for enterprises.
Before joining IBM, Christiane was a researcher in the field of cryptography. She got her Ph.D. in 2011 at TU Eindhoven in The Netherlands. She also worked as researcher at the University of Illinois at Chicago, Microsoft Research, and the Technical University of Denmark. 
Christiane is a co-author of one of the submissions to NIST’s Post-Quantum Cryptography competition that will select the future quantum-safe crypto portfolio.
