From COBIT® 5 to COBIT® 2019

When:  Feb 19, 2020 from 15:00 to 18:00 (BE)
Associated with  Belgium Chapter
COBIT®5 was published in 2012, making it almost 7 years old.  The emergence of new technology and business trends in the use of IT (e.g. digital transformation, DevOps) have not been incorporated into COBIT®5, requiring a re-alignment. In order to remain relevant, it is imperative that COBIT® continues to evolve, requiring more frequent and fluid updates. The red arrow in the COBIT®2019 logo symbolizes this notion of continuous evolution. Additionally, to ensure effective version control, all future updates will be stamped with the year corresponding to the release of the most updated guidance.

So, what’s new? The COBIT®2019 framework addresses the latest trends, technologies, and security needs for enterprises including other IT management frameworks such as ITIL, CMMI, and TOGAF.
Like COBIT®5, COBIT®2019 also emphasizes specifically on security, risk management, and information governance. The COBIT®2019 framework helps ensuring effective EGIT, facilitating easier, tailored implementation and, as such, is strengthening COBIT®’s continuing role as an important driver of innovation and business transformation.

Organized by the Antwerp Management School, ISACA and itSMF,

Prof. dr. Steven de Haes and Prof. Dirk Steuperaert will give a duo-presentation on all significant aspects of the new COBIT®2019 model.
