Nominations for the Tony Hayes Oceania Award for Leadership

Nominations open until midnight 30 June 2026. The winner will be announced at this years ISACA Sydney Conference 2026.

The Tony Hayes Award for Leadership recognises the outstanding leadership and commitment of chapter leaders from within the Oceania region. The award is dedicated to Tony Hayes, the 2013–2014 ISACA International President and the first from Oceania.

Tony Hayes presented the inaugural award at Oceania CACS in Adelaide in September 2013 to Mr Gary Barnes from Sydney Chapter. Ongoing, the award will be presented at the Oceania Region Showcase Conference designated by the Oceania Strategic Advisory Council (SAC).

 

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Nominees must be current members in good standing and have renewed their membership at the time of nomination.
  • Self-nominations are prohibited.
  • No posthumous awards.
  • Any individual involved in judging or selection is ineligible to nominate or be nominated.

Award nominees must demonstrate exceptional leadership within their chapters and contribution to ISACA and its members locally or regionally. If a nomination is incomplete or unclear, the Sub-Committee may seek further information from the nominator before proceeding with assessment.

  • Setting a clear vision and strategies for the chapter.
  • Extraordinary commitment, drive and determination in ISACA activities.
  • Motivating, coaching and supporting fellow volunteers to achieve outcomes.
  • Taking a strong interest in the needs of members.
  • Actively engaging with ISACA colleagues regionally and internationally.
  • A passionate advocate for ISACA to other organisations including government, universities and fellow professional bodies.

  • Nominations must be received by midnight, Tuesday 30 June 2026.
  • Nominations must be made using this form, unless alternative arrangements have been approved by the Awards Sub-committee.
