The Max Shanahan Award recognises outstanding leadership and commitment in the fields of IT governance, assurance, risk, security, and audit. Dedicated to Max Shanahan, the founding President of the Canberra Chapter in 1985 and a pioneering leader, this award honours individuals who exemplify his unwavering commitment to integrity, excellence, and professionalism. The inaugural award will be presented in December 2025 at the Chapter's AGM and Dinner.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Nominees must be current members in good standing and have renewed their membership at the time of nomination.
  • Self-nominations are prohibited.
  • No posthumous awards.
  • Any individual involved in judging or selection is ineligible to nominate or be nominated.
  • Nominees must be members of the ISACA Canberra Chapter.

Award nominees should exemplify outstanding leadership and dedication across IT governance, assurance, risk, security, and audit, reflecting ISACA's commitment to integrity, excellence, and professional and ethical conduct.   If a nomination is incomplete or unclear, the Sub-Committee will seek further information from the nominator before proceeding with assessment.

Important Information:

  • Nominations must be received by midnight, Sunday 16 November 2025.
  • Nominations must be made using this form, unless alternative arrangements have been approved by the Awards Sub-committee.
