Speaker: Steven Keller
BIO: Steven Keller is a seasoned compliance and cybersecurity professional with more than 14 years of experience as a CIP Auditor with SERC and previously with Southwest Power Pool, where he ensures that electrical companies maintain IT infrastructures in alignment with strict federal reliability and security standards. His work plays a critical role in safeguarding the nation’s power grid by assessing compliance, identifying risks, and reinforcing best practices for resilience.
Before joining SERC, Steven worked at FIS, where he partnered with the U.S. Department of the Treasury on high-stakes bank shutdowns and transfers and led risk audits across multiple departments. This experience sharpened his expertise in risk management, regulatory oversight, and complex IT and financial systems.
Steven holds degrees in Computer Science, Accounting, and Finance, giving him a rare blend of technical depth and business acumen. He is also a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), and a Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), underscoring his broad knowledge of compliance, security, and risk frameworks.
With his diverse background and proven track record, Steven brings a trusted perspective to organizations navigating the evolving landscape of regulatory compliance and critical infrastructure protection.
