About the Speaker: Tom is a Senior Technical Advisor in the Engineering and Security Integration department at NERC – the North American Electric Reliability Corporation. NERC is a non-profit organization that provides an industry-wide perspective and oversight to assure the effective and efficient reduction of risks to the reliability and security of the Bulk Power System. After 20 years in A.F. communications in Ohio, both Civil Service and A.F. Reserve/Air Guard, Tom came to Arkansas in 2000, and joined the Central Arkansas ISACA Chapter in 2001. After moving away and coming back a couple times, he rejoined the chapter in 2020. He has been engaged in various roles pertaining to security and compliance: five years at Acxiom, a year at Southwest Power Pool, and five years with an organization similar to SPP in Indiana. He has been with NERC since 2009.
