Title:
Dude, Where’s My Data? Leveraging Data Governance to Improve Analytics
Abstract:
The desire for more data-driven decision making has led to a surge in efforts to better use data for strategic planning and operational improvements. In order to get the maximum value from organizational data while safeguarding its effective use, it is critical to adopt a data-informed culture and develop processes to protect the data and manage its effective use.
Today’s panelists are data governance experts from the higher education industry vertical. In this session, they will describe their data governance journeys, including their institutions’ data governance structures, their pain points and celebrations, and how they have leveraged data governance practices to create an organizational culture that embraces analytics. Regardless of where your organization is in your analytics journey, this session will help you eliminate the pitfalls of data silos and data hoarding and use data analytics to streamline business processes.
