Speaker: India James

Topic: PII, 13 Shots, and $3T in Development: Where Physical-Digital Risk and Data Centers Meet

Session Overview:

Data centers are now the single most invested infrastructure asset class in the United States. Most governance and cybersecurity professionals approach risk through a digital lens. This training adds physical and real estate perspectives that are often missing from the conversation but shape every development, siting, and operational decision.

Teams typically operate in silos. Cyber teams address network and OT risk. Real Estate manages land and permitting. Governance teams focus on compliance. But operating alone, none of these teams can see the full picture.

The insights we're covering:

  1. The Converging Risk Landscape: Grid Reliability, Substation Attacks, and Physical-Digital      Risk
  2. OT Cybersecurity Policy: Regulatory Interest in Where Risk Exists
  3. Real Estate Strategies for  Data Centers: Eminent Domain, Sentiment, and Siting Intelligence
  4. Governance, Risk, and  Digital Trust: Exposure and Vendor Management
  5. Navigating the Risks: Integrating Real Estate and Security Approaches

Learning Objectives:

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  1. PII in the Public Record.  Explain the development process across jurisdictions and how public filings and activity in the early stages can expose PII. Evaluate  3rd party vendor risk management for land acquisition in light of      longstanding practices and the lack of Fortune 100 security controls.
  2. Identify  emerging threats to data centers, energy infrastructure, and decision-makers including physical attacks
  3. Analyze the impact of  social engineering and community sentiment on infrastructure policy and  procedure
