EmpoWE‐R Women of Information Security was formed to celebrate women in InfoSec and to create an inclusive environment for all to feel welcome. The organization comes together empowering one another as women and everyone who has and continues to support them! All are welcome!
The organization will also be creating a scholarship fund which will be awarded in January 2021 to help women in InfoSec for continuous learning (college, technical certification and/or leadership training). For their first year, they will make donations to local charities to assist and support local women.
To help jump start the scholarship fund, they will also be holding a silent auction the night of the gala. EmpoWE-R-Women of InfoSec is a 501 (c) (3) organization.
