Join us for ISACA Chicago Chapter Meeting - May 2023

Topic: Data-Centric Security - Advances in Technical Controls for Data and Identity & Access Management - Implementation Journey & Challenges

Part 1: Data-Centric Security - Advances in Technical Controls for Data
Learning objectives:
A brief introduction to Data-Centric Security, an emergent technology that protects unstructured data (documents) in novel ways will be discussed. A new paradigm for data ownership is explored where a protected document will always be yours and can be stored and protected anywhere. A brief introduction to the DNA data model and how it inspired the Data-Centric Security model behind NUTS, eNcrypted Userdata Transit & Storage.
Learning outcomes:
• You will know what Data-Centric Security is
• You will know how Consistency of Security improves the usability of secure technologies
• Insider Threat mitigation using Data-Centric Security
• Data privacy in hybrid cloud environments using Data-Centric Security
• Ransomware recovery and mitigation using Data-Centric Security
• Minimize DLP in WFH scenarios with Data-Centric Security
• Key ownership in a Data-Centric Security model

Our first guest speaker, Yoon Auh, CDPSE, CISSP, is the founder and CEO of NUTS Technologies Inc., a midwestern deep infrastructure technology startup based on his 15 patents on structured security, structured cryptography, and data-centric security. Yoon created NUTS once he realized that digital privacy can only be achieved by usable and accessible security. He graduated from Columbia College in NYC with a BA in Physics and a BS in Engineering Mechanics from Columbia School of Engineering.

Part 2: Identity & Access Management - Implementation Journey & Challenges
Session Description: Identity is the new security perimeter! Identity & Access Management is a foundational building block of a successful cybersecurity program. Join us to understand the critical IAM controls, implementation journey, and challenges faced by an organization in operationalizing IAM.

Our second guest speaker, Greeshma Neglur is an Identity and Access Management (IAM) enthusiast with 20+ years of experience working in technology and security. She has established IAM programs for several big financial services organizations, operationalizing Identity solutions such as Okta for Authentication and Authorization and SailPoint for Identity Governance. She is a strong proponent of driving identity security forward with passwordless authentication, verifiable credentials, etc.

Our third guest speaker, Barry Gordon is an Identity and Access Management (IAM) practitioner with 20+ years of experience. He has worked with some of the country’s largest companies and financial institutions. As the founder of Identity Coach, he helps companies build high-performing IAM programs and teams. With a passion for teaching and mentoring, he is committed to helping others learn about IAM and inspiring cybersecurity students to explore the field.

2 CPE credits will be earned with this webinar.
