Dear ISACA Chicago Members and Community,
The SheLeadsTech… with EXPERTISE program has been designed to support women in enhancing their knowledge of areas under the ISACA Curriculum.
We have invited Tamara Nolan, to discuss the topic of Cyber & Operational Resilience on July 12, 2024, @ noon central time.
Topic: Cyber & Operational Resilience – a holistic approach to protecting organizations’ revenue, reputation, and brand in the wake of a cyber-attack or other adverse event that threatens to disrupt critical operations for an extended period.
Understanding which functions cannot lapse for an extended period without having an adverse impact on an organization’s brand, reputation, revenue, legal and regulatory requirements, and people's safety is critical. Through a Business Impact Analysis (BIA) organizations identify which functions are critical and the resources they need to operate – people, technology, third parties, and locations. Once the critical functions are identified, the organization develops strategies for continuing them in the absence of key resources, which are documented in Business Continuity Plans (BCPs). To ensure the viability of the strategies, the organization conducts exercises, and scenario-based discussions that prompt participants to talk through how they would manage a cyber-attack or other adverse event leveraging the strategies documented in the BCP. The SheLeadsTech discussion will focus on how organizations can establish holistic and robust Cyber & Operational Resilience programs quickly and efficiently and validate them through test, training, and exercises.
