Lean for Technology Wizards (Lunch and Learn)

When:  Jun 16, 2021 from 12:00 to 13:00 (BO)
Associated with  Curacao Chapter

The last couple of years we have been seeing two parallel and conflicting demands on business services. At one hand we see business processes increase in complexity and unpredictability, while demands for accountability, standardization and efficiency are highly valued. We see a rise in customers demands and expectations, markets are becoming more customized and product life cycles that are getting shorter.

The LEAN approach is about doing the simple things really well, doing things better every day, involving employees in the process of continuous improvement and as a result, avoid waste.

Even though Lean was born out of manufacturing practices, nowadays we apply the Lean principles in the world of knowledge work and management as well. It encourages the practice of continuous improvement and is based on the fundamental idea of respect for people.

During this Lunch and Lean let’s get together, virtually, and talk about Lean and Lean six sigma. Where they stand in the ‘ocean’ of methodologies like Agile, Scrum and project management. Let’s talk about the principles and the concepts of Lean. It will be a fun way to get acquainted with Lean, guaranteed!
