ISACA Cyprus Chapter- Annual General Meeting Inbox (AGM)

Due the lack of members needed to be present in order to vote for the approval of the renewed ByLaws of ISACA Cyprus Chapter, and in accordance to the current ByLaws, there will have to be another meeting at the same location on the Wednesday, 25th of September 2019 at 18:00.
 
The agenda will cover the approval of renewed ByLaws of ISACA Cyprus Chapter, in order to comply with the updated legislation as directed by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

ISACA CYPRUS CHAPTER'S ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

We would like to invite you to ISACA Cyprus Chapter's Annual General Meeting (AGM), which will take place on Wednesday, 18th of September 2019 at 18:00. The events will be hosted at Bank Of Cyprus Headquarters at Ayia Paraskevi in Nicosia and will have an expected duration of 1 hour.

The AGM is open only to ISACA Cyprus Chapter members (2019 membership paid).

The agenda will cover the approval of renewed ByLaws of ISACA Cyprus Chapter, in order to comply with the updated legislation as directed by the Ministry of Internal Affairs (please refer to the email sent).

Cyprus IT Forum

The Cyprus IT Forum will be organizing a convention for business owners, investors and government officials to communicate and discuss further development of Cyprus as one of the main hubs of IT business in Europe on the 20th and 21st of May 2019. It will be hosted at Parklane, Limassol with the support of ISACA Cyprus.
 
It will be held in Russian, with simultaneous translation for non-Russian speakers and guests.

Introduction
The Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) training course will prepare you to undertake ISACA’s challenging CISM exam and is designed to equip you with the knowledge required to achieve a first-time pass. The CISM certification demonstrates proficiency in information systems audit and is highly sought after by both professionals and employers alike. Gaining this internationally-recognized qualification will increase recognition in the marketplace and build your influence in the workplace.
Audience
The certification intended for information security managers, aspiring managers or IT consultants who support information security program management. Applicants must have five years of verified experience in the information security field, with a minimum of three years of information security management experience in three or more of the CISM content areas.

To become certified, applicants must successfully pass a 200-question multiple-choice exam, which covers four content areas:

ISACA Awareness Session

We are happy to announce that on Saturday 13th of April 2019, ISACA will be present with a booth at the 4th Cyprus Penetration Testing Competition that will take place at Uclan Cyprus, Pyla.
After the success of the previous three years, UCLan Cyprus and the University of Cyprus are organizing PenTestCyprus 4.0 on 13th of April 2019, hosted at UCLan Cyprus premises, under the auspices of ISACA Cyprus Chapter. The event aims to continue raising awareness on emerging topics in information security, while offering a networking platform to meet people and share knowledge and experiences. Moreover, contestants aged 14-25 years, will have the opportunity to participate at the Cyprus Cyber Security Challenge (CCSC)through which the National team is selected in order to participate at the European Cybersecurity Challenge (ECSC).
We look forward to take this opportunity and discuss in person about ISACAvalues and principles.

Annual General Meeting 2019

The ISACA Cyprus Chapter organizes its Annual General Meeting which will take place on Wednesday, 11 April at 16:45. The event will be hosted at PwC Cyprus Head Office,43 Demostheni Severi Avenue. This will be followed by drinks and bites. 
The Annual General Meeting is open only to ISACA Cyprus Chapter members which have settled their dues for 2019, and to 2018 ISACA exam passers who will be recognised during the event. 
Registration will commence at 16:45 and presentations will commence at 17:00. The agenda will cover the following items:  
  1. Introduction & Recognition of ISACA exam passers in 2018.
  2. "Third Party Outsourcing" by Mr. Demos Demou (PwC), Board Member of the ISACA Cyprus Chapter; and
  3. "Key Cyber Security Considerations and the Evolving Threat Landscape" by Mr. Yiacoumis Christos (KPMG) - 1 CPE
  4. President's Annual Report;
  5. FY2018 Financial Statements and FY2019 Budget by the Treasurer;
  6. Audit Report by the Chairman of the Audit Committee;
  7. Proceedings for the election of a new Board of Directors and Audit Committee.
All registered ISACA Cyprus Chapter members (no need to be ISACA certification holders) who have paid their dues for 2019 may be nominated* for a position in the Board of Directors. 
*Nominations must be sent to info@isaca.org.cy by Friday 5/4 and should specify whether the candidate is being nominated for a position as a member of the Board of Directors or as a member of the Audit Committee. Nominations should be accompanied by a short CV of the candidate (a small paragraph).
