The impact of cybercrime on the economy, personal lives and our critical infrastructure is growing exponentially each year. Two questions are not being addressed on a national level in the US. Where does a consumer or small business call to report a crime and get help? And, what coordinated resources are available from federal, state and local law enforcement and consumer protection agencies? The Cybercrime Support Network is working with CISA to pilot a national program to improve information sharing, victim services and response for consumers and small businesses.

A whirlwind tour of the wonderful, wild, wacky world of privacy/data protection

With all the activity taking place regarding privacy (data protection), this session will provide an overview of recent activity from around the globe. Developments about destroyed "shields" in the EU, construction of new regulators in South American, and even recently enacted laws creating new enforcers in our own proverbial backyard (California). The purpose is to bring awareness of these changes and provide information that may be helpful in planning for the future.
