Azim Pathan

Azim Pathan is a Senior IT Governance Analyst at Cathay Bank, where he leads enterprise change management operations and supports the bank's vulnerability management programs. He also serves as Development Team Lead for ISACA Los Angeles.

A recent graduate of Cal State LA, Azim has built his career around strengthening IT control environments, closing audit findings, and designing governance programs that withstand regulatory scrutiny. With hands-on experience in systems administration, cybersecurity GRC, and IT governance, he brings a practical, real-world perspective to complex compliance and risk challenges.

Passionate about education and mentorship, Azim is especially dedicated to helping early-career professionals successfully enter and thrive in the cybersecurity field.

Anna Carlin has been teaching for nearly 30 years, which includes 15 years of related work experience in IT audit, software development, and operations management. She is also PI or co-PI on several grants including the NSF/ATE Cyber Up! Digital Forensics and Incident Response Research Award.

Ms. Carlin previously served on the board and chaired the Academic Relations Committee for the ISACA Los Angeles Chapter. She currently serves on the board for ISC2 Los Angeles Chapter.
