Speaker: Andrew Harris, Director Performance Audit, OAG
Andrew Harris is a Director Performance Audit who works with Office of the Auditor General to audit the activities of Western Australian state and local government entities, and report their findings to Parliament. Andrew believes that public money should be spent in accordance with Parliament’s purpose, and has been trying to improve the governance, efficiency and effectiveness of government activities in the UK and Western Australia. Andrew has worked as an internal auditor, contract auditor and performance auditor for the UK Ministry of Defence, NATO and the Office of the Auditor General. This included working in Germany for 10 years, and managing audits in Spain, Italy and Cyprus. Andrew has been a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors (UK) and (Australia) and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Geography from the University of Liverpool.
