What is SABSA?
SABSA® is a methodology for developing risk-driven enterprise information security and information assurance architectures and for delivering security infrastructure solutions that support critical business initiatives. It is an open standard, comprising a number of frameworks, models, methods and processes, free for use by all, with no licensing required for end-user organisations who make use of the standard in developing and implementing architectures and solutions.

Overview
The SABSA Foundation Modules (F1 & F2) are the SABSA Institute’s official starting point for developing Security Architecture Competencies. They are designed to create a broad-spectrum of knowledge and understanding of the SABSAmethod, its frameworks, concepts, models & techniques. Theories and concepts are put to the test in ‘proof-of-concept’ style case study exercises and workshops so that candidates can understand how SABSA is best applied to meet the challenges of the real world.
The Foundation course is split into two modules:
- F1 – Security Strategy & Planning
- F2 – Security Service Design & Management
A remote exam session will be scheduled in the week following the course. Candidates will be provided with advance access to the examination platform for familiarisation and test questions.
