SheLeadsTech - "Employee to Founder & CEO" - Embracing Risks to Create Rewards

Summary:

Please join us for an evening with Cory Beimesche, President and CEO of Butterfly Junction Technologies.  Cory will provide insight into her career progression and discuss how her willingness to embrace risks has created opportunities for rewards.

About our presenter:

Cory is co-founder, President and CEO of Butterfly Junction Technologies, Inc., a software company focused on improving traffic and transportation management technologies. Before devoting her time to building her business she used her passion for scaling up companies and providing expert consulting services to many companies for a variety of industries across a multitude of technologies. Cory is passionate about helping people and companies grow. Prior to founding her company, she managed IT Professional and Managed Services teams for local IT VARs, and prior to that was the executive responsible for Cincinnati Bell’s Video, Internet, and Voice services.

Cory has worked as a consultant managing large initiatives for many local companies, including information security initiatives at Fifth Third Bank, ERP programs at First Group America, field support software management at Wright Patterson AFB among many others. Cory started her career as a software developer prior to transitioning to consulting.

Teaching program management, risk management and project management initially through the Southwest Ohio PMI chapter and then an applied project management course through Xavier University’s leadership center, mentoring students and others in various stages of their careers, are some of the ways that she gives back.

An advocate of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention she would like everyone to know there is always help available and that asking for it is not a sign of weakness. She is also a member of WELD, the Women’s Economic and Leadership Development forum for Greater Cincinnati, founder of Women Leaders of Cincinnati, and a board member of Gateway STEM, a non-profit based out of Tennessee whose mission is to increase interest in STEM in the youth of middle Tennessee and Southern Kentucky through hands-on space themed programs.

The Greater Cincinnati ISACA Chapter will provide a CPE certificate (1 credit) upon completion of the event.
