The presentation will cover True Integrated Security and the Adversary Sequence Diagram (ASD). The course will explain how true integrated security contains three elements (People, Procedures & Equipment) to be effective. The course will also cover how the ASD model is created and how it can be used to evaluate your Physical Protection System, (PPS).
Bio:
Sam Alva is the Vice Chairman for the Wichita ASIS Chapter. Sam Alva is a retired Air Force veteran, with over 20 years of service traveling the world protecting DOD assets. He started his career as a Security Forces Member, later transitioning to an Anti-Terrorism team called Phoenix Ravens. Phoenix Ravens provided anti-terrorism measures to DOD assets in austere locations around the globe. Later in his career, Sam Alva was hand-selected to be part of NSA’s Elite Red Team, where he later transitioned to the Cyber Team, conducting a covert and overt cyber and physical vulnerability assessment for the department of defense. Once retired Sam Alva decided to venture into electronic security, certifying on numerous systems in intrusion detection systems (IDS), access control systems and surveillance systems. He is currently an Account Executive & adjunct professor for WSU’s first and only Cyber/Physical multi-disciplined course.
