Topic: Critical Infrastructures: Vulnerabilities and Mitigation Strategies
Summary: Instead of a lecture, this is an open forum where everyone can interact and converse this topic . We will discuss Critical Infrastructures, Vulnerable Systems such as the Internet and SCADA, for example, and methodologies to improve security posture. Deception (e.g. Honeypot), Depth (e.g. Layered Defense), Correlation and Awareness are just few of the methods that will be discussed. The purpose is to define issue that surround Critical Infrastructure and Key Resources (CIKR), and strategies that best secure them.
Deliverable: This is open to all security professionals. We hope those who work in a Critical Infrastructure can share their thoughts, and those who do not work in the field can understand what Critical Infrastructures are, why they are vulnerable, and what the panelists propose are advisable.
