Auditing Regulatory and Compliance Risks from AI Driven Digital Applications
Artificial Intelligence (AI) driven solutions are making their way into mainstream applications that touch upon all aspects of our digital lives such as recognizing real world objects, speeches, images; writing computer programs, stories; creating arts like an artist, or even dreaming like humans. An important aspect of these AI driven solutions is training computing machines with vast amounts of real-world data, which could be structured and/or unstructured. Because of the complex underlying datasets and engineering pipelines built to extract features used by data science techniques; AI models are prone to human errors leading to biased solutions. Enterprises often use third-party AI-driven solutions to accelerate product development and G2M without much control over these AI-driven solutions leading to various regulatory and compliance risks such as adherence to existing privacy, disability, anti-racism and other laws. While compliance risks relate to the potential of enterprises violating existing laws or regulations, regulatory risks relate to the potential changes in laws and regulations that could impact in the future. Insufficient or lack of control systems result in compliance risks that are easy to mitigate, but it is much difficult to mitigate regulatory risks, especially in the case of AI-driven thirdparty solutions. In this session, we'll first review various areas of AI that are transforming businesses, and then look into Regulatory and Compliance Risks from AI driven digital applications. We’ll also look into various strategies on mitigating such risks.
This will be a virtual event. We expect to issue 2 CPEs. The presentation will be from 12 to 2 with time for any Q&A.
