Background: As automated as systems can be, humans are still an integral factor to the success of cybersecurity efforts – whether it’s in planning, implementing, or maintaining. In this presentation, Allison Giddens (President, Win-Tech, Inc.) shares concepts and new ways to approach problems to effectively tackle cybersecurity challenges.

  • The relationship between vulnerability and inconvenience; and
  • How to be hyper-aware of Dunning-Kruger effect.
Speaker Bio: 
Allison Giddens is the President of Operations at Win-Tech, Inc., a small business specializing in aerospace precision parts, just outside of Atlanta, Georgia. Allison manages operations, finance, human resources, IT, and security. She graduated from the University of Georgia with degrees in psychology and criminal justice, from Kennesaw State University with a Masters in Conflict Management, and from Georgia Tech with a Masters in Manufacturing Leadership. She has certificates in Google Analytics from Google and Cybersecurity Risk Management from Harvard Online. She founded the Advanced Manufacturing Virtual Internship, a concept now adopted across the U.S. and U.K. She serves on the CMMC-AB Industry Advisory Council as Nominations Chair. She is an active
community volunteer, serving on the Boards of several non-profits, and has performed stand-up comedy at The Atlanta Punchline.
