Background: In a vulnerability test, a Red Team was able to penetrate a US power grid – both online and offline – within a three day window. For years the industry has discussed how the industrial control system (ICS) security environment is in dire straights. It is clear, the perception is that the entire ICS community has pressing challenges in providing proper security.

Speaker Bio: James Bleier is an Intelligence Specialist with the US Army. He has over 27 years’ experience supporting DoD networks and is currently working as a Red Team Lead. He served in both the Marine Corps and Alabama Army National Guard. James graduated from UAH with a MS-CBS and a Graduate Certificate in IA. He has many IT related certifications to include; CISM, CISA, CISSP, C|EH, CHFI, CCNA Security and others. Also completed the FBI Citizens Academy, DHS ICS Cyber Security and FEMA Surveillance Detection Courses.
