Gargi Pandey is a GRC professional with over 21 years of experience in information security governance, cyber risk management, regulatory compliance, third-party risk management, and security awareness. Throughout her career, she has worked with leading organizations including ICICI Bank, Reliance, and Accenture, and is currently with UPS.
Session Title: NIS2 Directive: From Compliance to Cyber Resilience – A Practical Implementation Guide
The Network and Information Security Directive 2 (NIS2) is the European Union's latest cybersecurity legislation, designed to strengthen the cyber resilience of organizations that provide essential and important services. Although the directive applies to organizations operating within the European Union, its impact extends far beyond Europe. Global organizations that serve EU customers, operate within the EU, or are part of international supply chains must understand and align with its requirements.
This session provides a practical and easy-to-understand overview of NIS2, explaining why it was introduced, who it applies to, and what organizations need to do to comply. It covers the directive's key requirements, governance responsibilities, cybersecurity risk management measures, incident reporting obligations, supply chain security expectations, and a structured implementation roadmap.

Mr. Venkata Pavan Kumar is a seasoned Information Security and IT Risk professional with over 20 years of experience in management system audits, IT risk management, web application and database security assessments, and VAPT. He has conducted certification and surveillance audits across global geographies including the USA, Australia, Singapore, Taiwan, and South Africa for standards such as ISO 27001, ISO 9001, ISO 27017, ISO 27018, and ISO 27701. He is also a trained TISAX assessor and trainer with hands-on expertise in PCI DSS, NIST 800-53, COBIT, SOX, and end-to-end third-party vendor risk programs.

- No Spot Registrations: Entry will not be permitted without prior registration. Please ensure you register well in advance.
- Do Not Register Tentatively: Seats are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Please register only if you are certain of attending. Tentative registrations block seats for other interested members who genuinely wish to attend.
- Cancellations: Please Inform Us in Advance - If you have registered and are unable to attend for any reason, please intimate us at the earliest so that we can accommodate members on the waitlist.

We would like to bring something important to your attention.
Our PDMs are offered completely free of charge as a benefit to ISACA Hyderabad Chapter members. However, we have observed a recurring pattern over the past two PDMs where members register and do not show up — without any prior notice or cancellation.
This is not just an inconvenience. Every no-show directly deprives another member of the opportunity to attend, learn, and earn CPE credits. We have members who genuinely want to attend but are unable to register because seats are taken — and then those seats go unused on the day of the event.
We have been gently highlighting this concern for the past two PDMs, and we sincerely appreciate those who have been considerate and cooperative. However, we now need to be very clear:
Members who register and do not attend, without prior intimation, will be blocked from registering for future ISACA Hyderabad Chapter events.
This is not a decision we take lightly. We deeply value every member of this chapter, and our sole intent is to ensure that these opportunities are accessible to all who truly wish to benefit from them.
