Please join us for our Chapter's Annual General meeting.  Chapter leadership will provide updates on Chapter business over the past year and announce election results for the officers and board members that will serve the chapter over the next two years.  This is a free event that offers 3 free CPEs.

Cathy Slayton will also be presenting on "How to Gain Executive Buy-in for IT Projects and Other Important Initiatives".  

Presentation Overview: How can the CIO or other IT department leaders convince the more traditional corporate executives to invest in new, cutting-edge technologies?  This presentation will discuss ways YOU can influence the decision makers within your organization to support your initiatives and the technology needed to move the needle.  In addition, this presentation will also include why the ever-changing role of the CIO is not only to keep the business running, but it’s also to innovate.  Participants will gain a deeper understanding of these concepts and how to employ these strategies for effective decision making with your organization’s executive leadership. 

About our speaker:
Cathy Slayton is an Engagement Management professional with nearly 25 years of enterprise-scale consulting experience.  She is a highly accomplished executive advisor in Security & Risk Management with vast expertise managing cybersecurity projects both in the public domain and private sector.  Cathy is a highly sought after executive consultant addressing the needs of her clients for IT Project Management, Organizational Assessments, IT Risk Management, Governance, and Executive Operations.  She is experienced in managing enterprise projects in the $1M+ budget scale with an emphasis on providing direction and technical leadership for the planning, management, and implementation of IT solutions for mission-critical environments with emphasis on stakeholder and executive level buy-in.

Her background includes experience with the top global research and advisory services firm (Gartner) as well as one of the top global consulting firms (KPMG).  Cathy’s current role is of Chief Customer Experience Officer for a newly founded start-up company, Quantum Symphony Group.

Cathy received her Bachelors degree in Psychology from Florida State University and is currently pursuing a Juris Masters degree from Florida State University – College of Law.  She is also a soon to be published author with her book on corporate wisdom available this fall.
