This discussion is being led by Iowa chapter member Edwin Waleh
Edwin possesses nearly 15 years of information technology experience, focusing on mitigating the risks of cybersecurity vulnerabilities. He is a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).
Before creating Heartland Team Solutions, Edwin served as a Security Product Manager for Avtec, Inc. (“Avtec”), an information technology company that offers mission-critical telecommunication solutions. During his tenure at Avtec, Edwin identified, assessed, and interpreted applicable cybersecurity guidelines and controls governing the company’s mission-critical technology products and services. Edwin also managed vendor and customer relationships concerning cybersecurity compliance, testing, and auditing. Before Avtec, Edwin worked for Duke Energy Corporation and South Carolina Electric & Gas in various information technology functions.
Edwin is a Board member of Iowa Lakes Corridor Development Corporation. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Systems from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, together with a Masters of Business Administration Degree from Strayer University.
