|ISACA Ireland aims to sponsor local educational seminars and workshops, conduct regular chapter meetings, and help to further promote and elevate the visibility of the IS audit, control and security profession throughout the area.
With these aims in mind, we are delighted to announce the launch of a brand new mentoring programme for our members.
Mentoring can benefit both mentees and mentors. Mentors can develop new perspectives, leadership skills and gain a sense of personal satisfaction from helping another person.
Mentees can develop new perspectives, expand their networks, knowledge and skills and have access to valuable advice from a more experienced person.
|The programme is designed to encourage members to invest in their career development, expand their knowledge through a peer network, and aid in encouraging diversity in IT and Information Systems careers.
The ISACA Ireland Mentoring Programme provides a significant opportunity to build knowledge, skills and collaborative relationships across the ISACA Membership. We aim to foster coaching culture and enable mentees to realise their potential through empowerment and support. Mentoring is an investment in ISACA Ireland’s future and indeed your future success.
Contributing as a Mentor also brings many personal benefits including improving your own communication or people management and leadership skills.
The structure of our Mentoring Programme
The intention is to run our Mentoring programme annually and over a twelve-month period.
To ensure the success of the programme, ongoing support and initiatives are in place for our Mentors and Mentees, such as a formal launch to the programme, meet up opportunities and updates via ISACA Ireland newsletters. Furthermore, a robust matching process is undertaken once all applications are received.
