Each year ISACA HQ identifies top scorers in the CISA, CISM, CGEIT and CRISC exam categories for the previous examinations in each Chapter area. The individuals who have achieved this accolade are identified to the local ISACA Chapter. This is a changover year from the exam windows sytems to continually testing and the chapter only has the top three up to the end of June 2019. Those who sat the exam from 1st July 2019 onwards will be recognised in 2020.

Launch of the ISACA Ireland Chapter Mentoring Programme

Our new Mentoring Programme will have its official launch before the AGM takes place. Although the programme has kicked off with the initial participants, any member interested in participating will be able to register his/her interest on the night.

Of some importance this year will be the Chater AGM

The current Chapter Board will complete its two years service this December and therefore an election must be held at the Annual General Meeting on 5th December 2019. Nominations for the new Board are now open with a closing date of 1st December 2019.

The Chapter By-Laws require a minimum of five chapters officers:

  1. President
  2. Vice-President
  3. Secretary
  4. Treasurer; and
  5. Immediate Past President.

The latter post is automatically filled by the outgoing president therefore as a minimum 4 roles are required to be filled for the Board to continue. The roles and responsibilities of each of the above officer positions can be found within the Chapter By-laws which are available on the ISACA.ie website.

Each nominee must be proposed and seconded by ISACA Ireland Chapter Members, who must provide their ISACA Membership number and email account to enable verification. Nominations must indicate whether the individual is being nominated for a specific role above or as a general board member. All nominees, proposers and seconders must be members of the Chapter in good standing. Note that existing board members are eligible for re-election.

Nominations received and which appear to be correct will be circulated to all Chapter Members during November. At the AGM on the 5th December a vote will be held for each of the roles above, and if more than 8 general board nominations are received, a vote may be held for each Board member position. Where only one person is nominated for a particular role, then that position will be ratified at the AGM.
