Presentation Topic: Agile Auditing: Audit Delivery using SCRUM
This presentation will take you on a journey from a trip to the UK to talk to Internal Audit at two leading financial institutions about how they incorporate agile delivery into their methodology, through to the first experiment of using this delivery method at ASB.
Jane and Hillary will share their learnings – the really good stuff and the challenges faced.
Agile delivery is going to be part of ASBs standard methodology – not for every audit, but certainly as an additional tool for enabling success.
Speakers:
Jane Hatfull, Executive Manager, ASB Bank
Jane has a BA degree in Social Psychology and Cognitive Studies from the University of Sussex and a Masters of Project Management (MPM) from the Unitec Institute of Technology, as well as several qualifications in Agile Delivery.
Jane’s career so far has included 15 years in IT Management and 15 years in Strategic Delivery.
In January 2018 Jane shifted into Internal Audit to begin what she now calls ‘Career 3’. At ASB her portfolio includes Strategic Change Assurance and Risk Culture. Jane has a passion for collaboration, embracing new ways of working, successful delivery, and working through ambiguity and complexity to find clarity.
Hillary Wyllie, Senior Manager, ASB Bank
Hillary has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Auckland and is a Certified Internal Auditor and is APM Project Management qualified (PMQ).
Hillary’s experience in Internal Audit, has been in both New Zealand and UK markets, spanning a variety of sectors across practice firm and in-house internal audit teams. Following an 18 month stint in Change and Project Management, Hillary returned to New Zealand in March and supports Jane with the delivery of Strategic Change Assurance at ASB.
