CyberCX and ISACA Auckland Chapter welcome the Auckland ISACA community for a panel discussion with some of CyberCX's practice leaders and experts in the areas of Security Engineering, Security Testing, GRC and Cyber Strategy. Please join us online or in CyberCX's new Queen Street office to discuss the trends that the panelists (and yourselves) are seeing so far in 2024 now that the year is half over. Panellists will also share insights on their careers.
Moderator:
Tatum Crisp, ISACA Auckland President and Head of Technology Risk at Westpac NZ
Tatum, an experienced people leader, boasts two decades of expertise in technology and cybersecurity risk. As the Head of Technology Risk at Westpac NZ, she oversees a team of highly specialized risk professionals. Before joining Westpac, Tatum held risk related roles at ASB, Sovereign (now AIA), Barclays Bank, and PWC. Her extensive experience spans both the New Zealand and United Kingdom financial services sectors. Notably, she currently serves as the president of the Auckland Chapter for ISACA.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Tatum is deeply passionate about fostering a robust and sustainable risk culture. Her keen interest lies in understanding how behaviours and habits influence decision-making and risk-taking.
Panellists:
Ian Peters: Director of Security Testing and Assurance, CyberCX New Zealand
Ian has been involved in Information Security his entire career, after starting in UK government in 2000. His experience has included security testing, code review, threat modelling, security certifications and compliance, exploit development, and a large range of other activities, in government, finance, small business, and most other sectors. After an initial 10 years of security testing and other associated work, Ian managed government certifications for BlackBerry during their heyday – including in the UK, South Africa, Australia, and other locations. Ian then spent several years self-employed providing bespoke security consultancy services while “levelling up” with other non-IT skills as he travelled around the world. Ian moved to New Zealand in 2018, and has provided oversight, testing of complex systems, and assistance to his team in that time.
Gordon Greeff: Director of Network and Infrastructure Solutions, Cyber CX New Zealand
Gordon is an accomplished leader with a broad range of skills and experiences. He has worked for over 25 years in telecommunications and cyber security and is passionate about making a difference and improving cyber security outcomes. Gordon comes from a technical background in networks, systems and security. An accomplished solution and security architect before holding senior leadership roles within Dimension Data and Computer Concepts Limited, where he was Head of Information Security. In his role he works with customers to understand their challenges and provide solutions across people, process and technology. He bridges the gap between business and IT, with a consultative approach that provides clear strategy and direction. His recent experience includes security design reviews, incident response and executive cyber incident response planning. He has significant experience with cyber security frameworks including NZISM, NIST CSF and PCI-DSS and brings a pragmatic lens to the delivery of cyber security outcomes.
Lauren O'Sullivan: Senior Consultant (GRC focus), Cyber CX New Zealand
Lauren is a Strategy and Risk consultant with experience delivering large scale audits and reviews to clients across public and private sectors, from small start-ups to complex agency environments. With a foundation in networks, security, and computational intelligence, Lauren utilises technical knowledge to provide pragmatic security advice. She takes a holistic view of security, understanding the organisational context through policy review and stakeholder engagement, the processes and procedures that drive the implementation, and down to the technical details of the configuration. This allows Lauren to deliver detailed findings and actionable recommendations in well-articulated assurance artefacts. She has a good working knowledge of security frameworks such as ISO27001, NIST CSF, NZISM and PSR.
Sasha Mullins: Senior Consultant (Cyber Strategy focus), Cyber CX New Zealand
Sasha is a Senior Consultant in CyberCX’s Strategy & Risk practice with experience delivering cyber security services to diverse organisations globally. She specialises in tailoring strategic, risk-based solutions and translating complex concepts into actionable strategies for technical and business stakeholders. Prior to this role she was at ANZ Bank, beginning in cyber security consulting and later moving across into an analyst role focused on privileged user access management. Additionally, within TechWomen NZ, she has contributed to various events and initiatives which advocate for women in technology. Recently diagnosed with ADHD, she aims to promote neurodiversity in the workplace, recognising its value in fostering unique perspectives and talents.
