What makes good PCI segmentation?

Description:

The presentation covers a bit of background on the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) and then covers PCI Rules on the scope of an organization's PCI Audit and ways to reduce that scope. The main area discussed will be Network Segmentation. The presentation will walk through how the PCI Council views proper network segmentation, challenges that we see as a QSA Assessor in segmentation and how organizations can self assess and think about correctly segmenting their environment.

Stewart has 20 years of experience in the security and audit industry, including 15 years of experience conducting PCI Assessments and Penetration Tests. Stewart serves as LBMC’s technical security director, having significant experience in security penetration and assessments in operating systems, applications, and network systems. He is active in the security and audit community and has published security-related articles in various trade magazines. Stewart's certifications include QSA, CISSP, HITRUST CCSFP, and CISA.
