Creating a tailored governance system using COBIT and other related industry frameworks
by MARK THOMAS
Description:
In many organizations today, aligning the goals, processes and components needed to create value for the enterprise is a top priority. Three key functions that assist in this value creation are IT, Cybersecurity and Assurance. When aligned with other frameworks, COBIT helps architect a holistic governance system that intersects these functions using a set of design factors that result in a clear and understandable model for alignment. In this highly interactive presentation, we will explore a methodology to create a valuable holistic approach by using common tools available with the COBIT Framework and use a real-world scenario to illustrate the power of this framework
Learning Objectives:
- Recognize the key elements of the COBIT framework
- Align the COBIT and other relevant industry frameworks
- Use design factors to create a tailored governance system that aligns IT, cybersecurity and assurance
- Learn how to select and prioritize governance and management objectives and their components to support the enterprise goal of value creation
