ISACA London Chapter Webinar: Mainframes – Legacy, risks and insecurity

When:  May 18, 2021 from 18:30 to 20:30 (BST)
Associated with  London Chapter

Remember the mainframe? It’s been with us for over 50 years and when you mention the mainframe, people often think it's old, outdated technology. Yet did you know that

it’s still receiving regular hardware and software updates and is the backbone of IT processing for large and medium sized organisations (E.g. Banking, Insurance, Retail, Government, transportation etc), however executives and managers are completely unaware of the devastating consequences to their business if these systems were abruptly shut down, suffered a major security breach etc.

This session will look at how dependent we are on those systems as a society and present some interesting facts on the security and governance of the platform. The speaker will also share a “day in the life” of a human being and how they will interact with a mainframe at some point during the day!

1-1.5 CPEs for ISACA members (depending on the length of the webinar including Q&A1
