Dear Members,
ISACA Malaysia Chapter is organizing this event as an effort to provide its member with the knowledge on network, firewall, IDS / IPS and auditing techniques around the network technology. In this training, the trainer will explore the network components, jargons are explained in non-technical terms, and you will learn how to assess network security by hands-on workshop exercises. Both business and technical aspects are covered. You will get a chance to run network probes, port scanners and examine network settings.
The course attempts to demystify the technology surrounding networks and is suitable not only for security specialists but also for non-technical business managers who need to control networking projects.
In this training, the trainer will explore on the following topics.
Ø Network security concepts, security integrated model, audit standards for IT infrastructure (COBIT, OSSTMM, PCI DSS), network security policy specifics and network lifecycle management.
Ø Network services and applications, services and protocols, ftp and telnet SFTP and SSH comparison, Ports and sockets, and foot printing.
Ø Domain Name System, Routing services, Directory services, LDAP SNMP, and Network mapping tools.
Ø Wireless LANs, problems, and solutions, Warchalking, Bluetooth security and wireless security.
Ø Remote access topologies, defending the remote machine, virtual private networking.
Ø Auditing equipment across the internet, Network Access Control, IPV6, Traffic control, Firewalls, Network and Host Intrusion, Detection/Prevention.
Ø Email architecture and Cryptography, assuring integrity and confidentiality.
The training will be conducted by accredited trainer with broad experience in various security domains including Network Security Assessment & Auditing, Penetration Testing, Security Hardening covering both tactical and operational.
