Dear ISACA Malaysia Chapter Members,
We are excited to announce our upcoming Community Day event, dedicated to cleaning up Pantai Remis Beach in Selangor. Join us on October 5, 2024 at 8.15am to 12.30pm to help preserve our beautiful coastline and promote environmental sustainability. This is a fantastic opportunity to give back to our community, enjoy the outdoors, and connect with fellow members.
This event allows participants to take a hands-on approach to cleaning up plastic waste as well engaging in conversations and discussions around plastic waste and waste management, we aim to not only increase the awareness of the importance of plastic waste management in Malaysia, but also empower individuals to take affirmative action in combating plastic waste pollution with their own ideas and initiatives.

The agenda will be as follows:

10.15am End of clean up (Light refreshments will be served here)

● Sorting and weighing of waste

We will provide sugar bags to dispose waste, gloves, & trash pickers. Light refreshments of cold drinks, snacks and cut fruit will be provided. Members are required to bring along or prepare the following items: Covid self-test (Highly recommended to do this the night before/morning of the event) Cap/Sunscreen/UV sleeves (To protect against the harsh sun) PLENTY of water - bring at least 1.5L with you (to prevent dehydration!!) Towel (optional) To wipe away sweat Hand sanitiser/hand soap (To wash the germs away after handling rubbish) COVERED shoes (To protect against glass shards, nails etc) Logistics to go to Pantai Remis shall be arranged closer to the event date.
