Course Description:
This course will provide foundational knowledge, skills, and behaviors required for medical and healthcare professionals interested in exploring information security and privacy competencies applicable to their scope of work. As healthcare information systems, personal health information, and the humans managing these are considered critical in medical and healthcare institutions, let us discover how medical and healthcare professionals can contribute to the information security, cybersecurity and privacy programs of organizations. As part of the course, foundations on information security and privacy relevant and aligned to medical and healthcare institutions will be tackled to provide participants further appreciation of the practice. This course is output-driven and outcome-driven, and participants are expected to actively participate in workshops. At the end of the course, learners shall be able to bring valuable insights to their own organizations or businesses and contribute to enhancing cybersecurity management and program implementation, collaboration with business leaders and CISOs / CROs / DPOs, and ultimately be able to generate practical and operational examples of applying their learning
