ISACA Melbourne Chapter CommunITy Day:  Hope in a Suitcase

Around 44,900 children and young people are currently living in out-of-home care across Australia, with approximately 2,000 children entering foster care in Victoria each year. Many arrive with their belongings in plastic bags. Hope in a Suitcase Victoria helps provide suitcases and essential items that offer dignity, comfort, and hope.   

From 20 September to 5 October 2026, ISACA Melbourne Chapter is supporting Hope in a Suitcase Victoria.    

How You Can Help 

• Donate brand-new children's items, including clothes, baby essentials, toys, books and comfort items.  Find collection points on Hope in a Suitcase website. 
• Join our 6 October Professional Development Event featuring Julie Armstrong, Chair of Hope in a Suitcase Victoria, and bring an item to donate. 
• Sponsor a suitcase through a tax-deductible donation.  Donate here.
