The NIST Cyber Security Framework integrates
industry standards and best practices to help
organisations manage their cybersecurity risks.
It provides a common language that allows staff at all
levels within an organization—and at all points in a
supply chain—to develop a shared understanding of cybersecurity risks. NIST worked with private sector and government experts to create the Framework, which was released in early 2014.
This presentation introduces the NIST Cyber Security
Framework (CSF) and how it is being pragmatically
applied within the industry. It looks at the concepts that are covered by the NIST CSF, how these relate to existing frameworks, including Service Management and Service Integration and Management (SIAM).
The presentation will include training and accreditation topics as well as where to go for further information.
Simon has been influential in the development of the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL), the Skills Framework for the Information Age (SFIA), and Service Integration and
Management (SIAM). He is part of the global SFIA Council, and contributed in the global design authority for SFIA Version 6. Simon is part of the EXIN SIAM Expert Group where he contributed to the development of the SIAM Foundation exam and was part of the authors group for the SIAM Professional Body of Knowledge.
Simon is a trainer in ITIL, SIAM, NIST Cyber Security Framework and for SFIA.
He is a Chartered Fellow of the British Computer Society and an assessor for the CITP and Fellowship grades.
Simon is currently working as the lead SIAM Architect for the NSW DCS SIAM implementation and providing cyber advisory services to NSW Government
