Join the ISACA Middle Tennessee Chapter as our subject matter experts host small groups on a variety of current topics relevant to IT Audit and cyber security today. Format will consist of roughly an hour of free flow discussion in small groups (determined by ticket type chosen) followed by a brief 30-minute recap from discussion leaders for all attendees. If you have specific questions for your group please send them to Programs Director, Mark Brown at email@example.com and mention group name and discussion leader. This networking format will include brief small group introductions and encourage individual participation.

Ticket A - Ransomware: led by Scott Augenbaum, former FBI Special Agent/ author/ speaker and Steven Mahoney, Sr. Director, Security & IT Compliance at Surgery Partners, group participants will discuss what ransomware is, the common vectors used to distribute it, what organizations are commonly targeted, and ways to protect and prevent your organization from being a victim.
Ticket B - SolarWinds Hack: led by Jacob Arthur, Partner at Formos Consulting LLC. In this breakout discussion participants will discuss the details of this recent 2020 hack, who was affected, what information was taken, how this particular attack may force widespread regulatory change, and ways to protect your organization now.
Ticket C - Diversity & Mentoring: led by Magnolia McShane, IT Audit and Cyber Security Consultant, Mary Cole, Sr Internal Auditor at Nashville Metro Government, and Aaron Smith, Cyber & Data Risk Consultant, Deloitte & Touche LLP. In this breakout attendees will discuss improving diversity and inclusion in information technology careers, how to new create opportunities for yourself, and best techniques for having and being a mentor to others.
Ticket D - IT Audit: led by Keith Jackson, Manager at Formos Consulting LLC. Attendees will discuss the field of IT audit including what is IT audit, careers in IT audit, and IT auditing for compliance.
Ticket E - Getting to Yes! Gaining Approval For Your 2021 IT Audit or Cybersecurity Budget: led by Tim Agee, Partner at Formos Consulting, LLC. In this discussion participants will uncover how leaders can get their 2021 IT Audit or Cyber Security budget approved and how to tie out your budget to immediate business, GRC, audit and IT security objectives.

Discussion Leader Bios:
Scott Augenbaum, Retired FBI Special Agent, Speaker, Author
After joining the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in the New York Field Office in 1988 as a support employee, Scott became a Special Agent in 1994 and was assigned to the Syracuse, New York Office, where he worked domestic terrorism, white collar and hate crimes, and all computer crime investigations. In October 2003, Scott was promoted to Supervisory Special Agent at FBI Headquarters, Washington D.C in the Cyber Division, Cyber Crime Fraud Unit and was responsible for managing the FBI's Cyber Task Force Program and Intellectual Property Rights Program. In 2006, he transferred to Nashville, TN and managed the FBI Memphis Division Computer Intrusion/Counterintelligence Squad in Nashville, TN.
Over the past ten years, Scott has had the opportunity to provide hundreds of computer intrusion threat briefings with the goal of educating the community on emerging computer intrusion threats and how to not to be the victim of a data breach. Scott earned an MBA from American Sentinel University in Information Technology and a Masters Certificate in Information Security Management from Villanova University and holds numerous certifications including the SANS General Information Assurance Certification (GIAC). Scott considers Nashville home and he frequently volunteers and helps lead discussions for area InfrGard, ISSA, WiTT, HIMSS, and ISACA user groups.
Steven Mahoney, Sr. Director, Security & IT Compliance Surgery Partners Inc.
Steven is responsible for the IT Audit Compliance and Cyber Security program for Surgery Partners, a public Nashville-based healthcare company that operates multiple types of healthcare services dedicated to improving the quality of care in a convenient and cost-effective manner. Surgery Partners services are comprised of a diagnostic laboratory, multi-specialty physician practices and anesthesia services. Steven has his MHA from LSU and multiple industry certifications including the GSLC, CISA, CCSA, CFE, CDPP. He currently serves as the Events Coordinator on the board for Middle TN ISACA.
Jacob Arthur, Ph.D, CPA - Partner at Formos Consulting, LLC
Jacob is a Partner with Formos Consulting, LLC where he leads the Security and Technology practice area. His team’s expertise includes Security Program Roadmap and Management, Network Security Design and Assessment, Red Teaming/Penetration Testing, IT Audit, Systems Implementation, and Network Design and Management, and Emerging Technologies. He also enjoys teaching at Lipscomb University, where he works to introduce students to securing enterprise systems, IT audit, and analytics.
Jacob is is originally from Nashville, Tennessee and earned degrees in Computer Science and Accounting from Lipscomb University, and a PhD in Computer Information Systems from Nova Southeastern University. Jacob holds several industry certifications including the PCI QSA, CEH, and CTGA. Prior to his current role, Jacob served in various engineering, IT leadership and IT executive roles for companies ranging from 10 million to 2 billion in revenue. Jacob is also a past board member of Middle TN ISACA.
Magnolia McShane, IT Audit and Cyber Security
Magnolia is an experienced IT and Information Security professional that helps clients reduce their risk through use of audit methodology, security standards and frameworks. By implementing these business processes for clients, she improves efficiency while also increasing their cyber maturity. Magnolia believes in continual learning and seeks to stay current on changes in technology and security. As an outstanding team player, she shows a great degree of enthusiasm, commitment and collaboration. As the SheLeadsTech Chair for Middle TN ISACA’s board, she cares about mentoring and providing events for college and high school women that provide learning opportunities and access to role models that can help shape their future interest in IT Audit and Cyber Security. She holds an MS in Information Systems from Lewis University and CISA certification.
Mary Cole, Sr Internal Auditor at Nashville Metro Government
Mary is an experienced Senior Internal Auditor with a demonstrated history of working in the accounting industry. Skilled in Single Audit, Quality Auditing, Accounting, Yellow Book, and Internal Controls. She is a strong accounting professional with a Master of Professional Accountancy focused in Accounting from Western Kentucky University. Mary currently serves on the Board of Directors as the Membership Director
Aaron Smith, Cyber & Data Privacy Risk Consultant at Deloitte & Touche LLP
Aaron Smith, CISA is a consultant for Cyber and Data Privacy Risk at Deloitte & Touch LLP. He is responsible for assisting clients to develop and strengthen their posture in the areas of data asset, cyber risk and privacy, and analytics. Previously Aaron worked as a Business Analyst and IT Auditor for other groups within Deloitte LLP.
Aaron received his M.S. in Analytics from Villanova University and B.S.B.A from Christopher Newport University. Aaron has been a member of the Middle Tennessee Chapter of ISACA since 2015 and currently serves as the Marketing Director on the Board of Direcotrs.
Keith Jackson, Manager at Formos Consulting
Keith Jackson, CPA, CISA, CCSFP, is an IT Risk and Compliance Manager with Formos Consulting, LLC. Formos Consulting is one of the largest IT Risk and Compliance practices in Middle Tennessee that works with many of the largest public and private companies in the area. Keith is responsible for planning and overseeing various types of IT compliance audits including Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), Service Organization Control (SOC), HIPAA, and HITRUST. Prior to joining Formos Consulting, Keith worked in Corporate internal audit at Dollar General and Gaylord Entertainment.
Keith has been a member of the Middle Tennessee Chapter of ISACA since 2014 and has served on the Board of Directors since joining the chapter. He currently serves as the chapter President and has also served in the roles of Vice President and Webmaster.
Timothy Agee, Partner at Formos Consulting / Co-Founder at WaveFire
Timothy Agee is a Partner with Formos Consulting, LLC and specializes in the area of IT Risk and Compliance. In this capacity, he leads one of the largest IT Risk and Compliance practices in Middle Tennessee that works with many of the largest public and private companies in the area. He previously served as Director of Information Services for Saint Thomas Cardiology Consultants and the Director of Information Systems for Gospel Advocate Company. Timothy has served on the board of the Middle Tennessee Chapter of ISACA for the past 10 years.
