Angela is a Managing Director within the Internal Audit and Financial Advisory practice at Protiviti. She has 20 years of consulting, public accounting, and internal audit experience with a focus on information technology. She primarily serves clients within the financial services industry, facilitating client projects related to internal audit transformation, risk assessments and IT risk management. Angela earned a B.A. in Financial Management and in Quantitative Methods & Computer Science from the University of St. Thomas. She is a member of the Advisory Committee for Protiviti's Gender Equality in Technology and IT employee network group and serves on the board for a local non-profit.


Tom is a Senior Director working within the IT Consulting practice. He specializes in IT Security and leads the Chicago Protiviti penetration testing lab. Tom and his team assist clients in performing network penetration reviews, application, and vulnerability assessments. Tom has developed deep skills and knowledge in network and application security as well as well-known standards and regulations.

Description: In September/October 2020, ISACA and Protiviti conducted a global survey of more than 7,400 IT audit and risk leaders and professionals to obtain their perspectives on the top technology risks their organizations will face in 2021. We also addressed the impact of the COVID-19 global pandemic as well as ongoing digital transformation efforts.

The results are enlightening, with cybersecurity and privacy issues, regulatory compliance, data, disaster recovery, and other pandemic-driven concerns ranking among the top technology risks for organizations globally.
