Michael Krivak is a director in BDO’s Minneapolis Office with over 13 years of Information Technology (IT) Audit, Service Organization Control (SOC) reporting and advisory experience. Michael leads the Minneapolis BDO SOC practice, providing services to a wide variety of clients across the globe. His expertise includes assessing the control environment, developing control descriptions, designing the test of controls, and validating based on the tests.


Greg Schu
is a partner in BDO’s Advisory Services team. He has more than 25 years of experience in professional services helping organizations evaluate risk, governance, security, regulatory standards, compliance controls and understand the areas of focus where business, compliance, or technology security improvements may be required.

Jeff Norem, Global Head of Security and Privacy at Starkey Hearing Technologies  
Jeff is a data protection and privacy leader, CISO, board member and product adviser with 20 years of experience in cyber, privacy, fraud and risk management across multiple industries and fortune 500 companies.  Jeff is currently the Global Head of Security and Privacy for Starkey Hearing, is a member of the UST Risk Leadership Advisory Board and holds an MBA from the University of St. Thomas with a focus in the risk leadership. He is a frequent speaker at global security and risk conferences, author and active member in the security and privacy community. CISSP, CISA, OpenFAIR.  His career focus has been building security programs that allow organizations to make effective decisions and investments in security by understanding their risk

Matt Zaruba, Vice President, CISO  Bluestem Brands
Matt is the Vice President, CISO for Bluestem Brands, Inc.. He has served as a cyber risk services Leader within public accounting, as well as acted in executive leadership roles for two companies in the hospitality and financial services industries. Matt has functionally directed several departments including Governance, Risk, Compliance, Privacy, Security Operations, Disaster Recovery and IT (Information Technology) Procurement. Additionally, Matt served ten years as the Director of Information Security and Disaster Recovery for a large financial services software company.
