Overview:
In today’s world, we understand that analogies are an effective communications tool for communicating complex, technical topics to those with limited experience in complex, technical topics. The inverse is also true, in that we as information security professionals can leverage the same process for learning, from a ‘sportsball’ context. This talk will focus on my experiences both as an InfoSec professional and a Texas High School football official. Both offer striking similarities, and truisms from one can equally be applied to the other.
