Do I need AAIA certification?
AAIA Certification validates ability to assess AI-driven systems and identify emerging risks and opportunities. Built on the rigorous standards behind globally respected credentials such as CISA, CIA, and CPA, the AAIA certification is precisely designed for experienced auditors who desire to expand their impact in AI audit space. The certification would also help with assessment of regulatory compliance and thereby strengthen organizational integrity through AI-focused audits. Internal Auditors, IT Auditors, Risk & Compliance Professionals, Governance Leaders, and practitioners responsible for oversight of AI-enabled systems could benefit from the AAIA certification.
Eligibility
Professionals holding an active CISA or those in a IT audit of IT advisory role with CIA(IIA), CPA(AICPA) credential are eligible to pursue the AAIA certification (detailed list is available onhttps://www.isaca.org/). Candidates are currently tested on a 90 multiple choice questions format to be completed in 150 minutes. Certification is awarded by ISACA, USA after validating aspirants meet the eligibility criteria.

ISACA, Mumbai Chapter, an authorized training arm of ISACA, USA has conceptualised the AAIA Exam Preparatory course aligned with ISACA, USA guidelines. First session of the course at our Chapter premises is scheduled on 7th August 2026. Detailed schedule and registration details are given below.
