What is the Nantucket LV-112? One of only a few lightships that have been preserved, this floating lighthouse was commissioned in 1934 after its predecessor was rammed by the RMS Olympic, a sister ship to the Titanic. The lightship is restored to its original state and is a hands-on opportunity to see how crew members worked and lived while on duty off the Nantucket Shoals. Everyone loves the lightship, from kids of 8, to “kids“ of 98! ISACA New England will be serving food and beverages during this free event to members, it’s a networking opportunity you won’t want to miss!
ISACA NE Chapter made a donation to the museum, and the museum will host us to express their gratitude. We will have a couple of docent tours of the ship, and food/drink will be served, and parking is free.
GETTING THERE: In addition to driving to the East Boston Shipyard, (free parking for this event is available), the Lightship is easily accessible via the Blue Line “Maverick” T stop and by water taxi.
Please note that this is a non-CPE event.
