Presentation overview:

Too often individuals wait until they have “proof” before reporting incidences of potential fraud, waste, and abuse and too often that may be too late. The sooner risks are identified and reported the sooner plans can be made to mitigate them. The fact is, we’re all responsible for identifying and reporting risk and in this presentation we’ll explain how you can submit a report or a complaint to the Office of the State Auditor, we’ll describe the “Fraud Triangle”, we’ll provide you with some examples of fraud, and we’ll review internal control functions and provide recommendations for best practices on fraud prevention.
