Abstract: What is real and what is myth on the dark web? This talk will distill what has been found in several years of hands on investigations of dark web markets and sites. Attendees will hear what the real dangers are, and what the hype is.

About our speaker: Dr. Chuck Easttom is the author of 30 books and about 70 research papers. He is an inventor with 22 computer science patents. He holds a Doctor of Science (D.Sc.) and a Ph.D. as well as three master’s degrees. He is also a Distinguished Speaker of the ACM, Distinguished Visitor of the IEEE, as well as a Senior Member of the ACM and Senior Member of the IEEE.

He currently is an adjunct lecturer for Georgetown University and the University of Dallas. He has conducted dark web investigations for many years and taught dark web investigations to law enforcement agencies and other government entities.
