    One of ISACA New York Metropolitan Chapter’s goals is to assist, educate, and guide our Chapter Members progression throughout their careers, from starting in an entry-level role, all the way to the C-Suite, via webinars, mentorship programs and other initiatives. The World is currently experiencing a historic economic downturn, and several of our young and emerging professionals are currently underemployed or unemployed. In this Emerging Professionals session, we will provide you with tools, tips, and tricks to elevate your resume; and - once you scored an opportunity – how to increase your chances at a promotion.

    Session: Resume Building Workshop - by Debi Easterday 

    The workshop will dive deep into constructing a modern resume, point out common mistakes, and learn what employers look for to increase your chances at scoring an interview. We recommend having an updated resume on hand so you can apply the knowledge gained, in real time! 

    The session will cover: 

    1. Sample resume updates, 
    2. Standard errors, pitfalls that are common in resume drafting 
    3. Resume writing key and main points 
    4. Resource and skill matrix updates, 
    5. Enhance interview insights and how to navigate 

            Session: Getting a Seat at the Table by Gideon Rasmussen 

            This session provides practical advice to prove yourself 'ready now' for an InfoSec, IT Audit, or GRC management roles. Includes tips for communicating program statuses in ways that resonate with executives. Program architecture and planning are addressed at a mid-level. Professional development and C-Level presentation round out the session. There are 10 takeaways attendees can leverage upon returning to work:

                                Debi Easterday 

                                Debi Easterday is a candidate-centric, heart-centric, employer matchmaker with over 20 years of diversified experience in Recruiting and Talent Acquisition. She is the CEO and Chief H2B (Human-to-Business) Matchmaker of H2B Consulting, a Recruiting and Project-based Services firm specializing in IT and Creative (Digital Marketing) services. She is a regular host on #WorkingLunch, a weekly international show featuring HR, Recruitment Marketing and Talent Acquisition professionals from all over the world to discuss industry trends and best practices. When not Recruiting, which is rare, Debi loves to float down the river in a kayak alongside her husband (Trent) and their three children or play guitar (latest obsession is a Gibson SG Special in Faded Pelham Blue).

                                Gideon Rasmussen 

                                 Gideon Rasmussen is a Cybersecurity Management Consultant with 20 years of experience in corporate and military organizations. Gideon has designed and led programs including Information Security (as a CISO), PCI - Payment Card Security, Third Party Risk Management, Application Security and Information Risk Management. Gideon has authored over 30 information security articles. He is a veteran of the United States Air Force, a graduate of the FBI Citizens Academy and a recipient of the Microsoft Most Valuable Professional award. Gideon has also completed the Bataan Memorial Death March (4 occurrences).
