Topic: Accelerating Network Threat Protection with Artificial Intelligence
Abstract: Can artificial intelligence, specifically deep learning, which has revolutionized areas like self-driving cars, computer vision, and medical image diagnosis be used to solve cybersecurity challenges? How can AI-based Network Detection and Response help accelerate threat detection, triage, and IR? Blue Hexagon was recognized in the 2020 Gartner Market Guide for Network Detection and Response and in Forbes AI 50 and Forbes Top 25 Software Startups to Watch lists, for its real-time deep learning-based cloud and network
protection platform. In this session, we will present an overview of Blue Hexagon’s deep learning technology for cybersecurity and our unique approach for modern network threat protection. And, then dive into a technical discussion on augmenting threat intelligence using data science. We will look at how traditional approaches of Threat Intelligence Requirements (TIR) and Prioritized Intelligence Requirements (PIR) can greatly be added by using data science. We will also review a case study of how using PCA (Principal Component Analysis) we were able to identify and classify a targeted attack campaign with a high degree of accuracy and associating it with other campaigns.
