Cybercrime is becoming more sophisticated, and its investigation is becoming more difficult. In the tense international situation, cyber espionage and terrorist activities will also become more active. With the spread of IoT and the progress of DX, social life has become more dependent on digital technology, and digital infrastructure has become deeply involved in various frauds and crimes, so the need for research and investigation into these is only increasing.
The challenge here is securing human resources who can respond to cyber cases. Not only are there demands for experts in cybercrime countermeasures, but police officers other than cyber investigators are also required to have cyber-related knowledge. Private organizations will also be in need of security personnel for self-defense, early detection of accidents, and minimization of damage. With the shortage of IT personnel being an issue throughout society for a long time, a major challenge is whether we can sufficiently train and secure personnel related to security and cyber case response.
At the 27th Shirahama Symposium, we will discuss the current situation and future of the shortage of cyber personnel, how the public and private sectors will train and secure personnel.
